An old time favorite Jolene's Taco pie

4 pounds ground beef
1med. Onion chopped
3 med. Roma tomatoes chopped small
1 head of lettuce chopped
1 pound of grated cheese
1 package taco seasoning
1 package of taco shells

Brown beef and drain, add taco mix and follow their directions on package. After the mix is ready use a cookie sheet place one shell on the sheet and first cover shell with meat mixture, then onion, tomatoes, lettuce then cheese just as you would you your regular taco. But apply another shell on top of the first and repeat putting all the fixings on it and keep layering until it looks like how a layered cake would look like. The last shell I just top with tomatoes and cheese and jalapenos. Put in a hot oven 395* (10 min.) Or until all is reheated clear through. Remove from oven cut like you would a layered cake put sour cream on each section...with 12 inch shells I came out with 8 good size sections...enjoy it feeds eight people for a small amount of money and a lot less messy than regular tacos. I made it tonight for about 16.00 so I fed six teenagers and three adults for that and had left overs. I had enough mix to do two cakes so I used two pkges. Of shells
