Slow Cooker Chilli Con Carne

This was our dinner tonight, made from scratch. A nice kick without being overboard.
Would be great with Fresh Naan bread to soak up the broth.

1 kg gravy beef or Chuck Steak
2 Onions, Diced
4 Field Mushrooms
2 Tins Crushed Tomatoes
1 Can Tomato Paste
2 tsp Chilli Powder
2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 tsp Paprika
1 Can Kidney Beans, Drained

Brown off meat, onions and mushrooms. Add to slow cooker, with all other ingredients. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4. When the meat is fall apart tender, it is ready to serve.
Garnish with Sour Cream and Chives.
